This booklet contains summaries of presentations from MELDI's 2005 National Summit on Diversity in the Environmental Field held at the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources and Environment.

2006 Leading the Way: Environmental Justice at SNRE [Symposium Program]

This booklet contains a conference schedule and a brief description of the environmental justice program at the University of Michigan’s School of Natural Resources and Environment (SNRE). It also contains a listing of the faculty in the program and a short research profile of each. The profiles mention current and recent research grants that were active during the period 2000-2006. Following the faculty profiles are abstracts for postdoctoral fellows (both of these fellows are in the School of Public Health), Ph. D. and masters students.

MELDI Career Resource Guide to Environmental Jobs: Required Skills, Experience Needed and Expected Salary Range

This booklet contains a variety of environmental jobs that may be listed in various organizations and agencies. More than 220 jobs are described. The guide lists the skills and qualifications required for each job, salary ranges, and years of experience desired. In some cases there are multiple job titles that are listed under one heading. The qualifications and salary ranges vary for these jobs based on seniority.

This booklet addresses key factors of job preparation. This includes searching for jobs, advice on ways to gain a career and advance in one's chosen profession through networking and the benefits of mentoring.

The Paths We Tread is a booklet that features minorities who have developed exemplary careers in a wide range of environmental professions. It also paints a vivid picture of minorities who have had a life-long interest and love for the environment.
