Responsibilities Include:
Provide engineering support to assigned projects work independently and in team environments; typical duties will involve the formulation and implementation of approaches for solving a wide array of problems but generally focused on the design and development electronic and mechanical systems for data collection; routinely consult with Program/Project Leads regarding status of work assignments; direct and supervise the work of technicians as may be required; provide comprehensive written product for monthly progress reports, final reports and proposals; prepare and present oral presentations to customers.
Qualifications Include:
Requires a BS or MS degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Physics with 1-5 years experience with electromechanical design, mechanical design and system integration. Must have at least a 3.5 GPA. Must be proficient with SolidWorks, MatLab and MS product suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Must have knowledge of robotics and mobility platforms. Must be able to specify sensor and data collection requirements; evaluate commercial equipment options relative to design requirements. Must have good writing and oral communication skills.
