Assistant/Associate Professor
Summary: 
The School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University seeks to appoint a tenure-track faculty member in the area of Public Finance on the Bloomington campus. SPEA is a multidisciplinary, university-wide division of Indiana University and is organized as a professional school committed to excellence in research, teaching, and service and to addressing critical issues of public policy and management. All faculty members teach required and elective courses at the undergraduate, professional master’s and doctoral levels. SPEA is one of the largest U.S. public affairs school in the nation with over a total of 70 tenure-track faculty on its core campuses, Bloomington and Indianapolis. The graduate program consistently ranks among the best in the country.
Qualifications Include: 
Applicants are invited to apply from all areas of public finance. However, preference will be given to candidates with expertise in public sector economics and taxation, financial markets and financial management, and international economics and finance. The appointment is expected to be at the Assistant Professor level, but a more senior appointment at the Associate Professor level is possible for an exceptionally qualified candidate. Applicants must present evidence of high quality research and an ambitious research program with a public sector orientation, an interest in professional service applications, and a strong commitment to high quality teaching. The individual selected for this position should be able to teach graduate-level managerial economics or public finance and budgeting courses. The Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree is required in an appropriate field before the appointment is completed.

Candidates with academic leadership potential and interest in interdisciplinary collaboration to spearhead new directions for departmental expansion and programmatic improvement are preferred.
Qualifications Include: 
The department seeks a biologist with environmental health or environmental toxicology specialization. Training in epidemiology, biostatistics or modeling is desirable. The successful candidate will have completed a Ph.D., be committed to excellence in teaching and will be expected to establish a research program and capable of supervising undergraduate and/or graduate (MA) research projects. Vice President, Sustainability and Energy Initiatives
Summary: 
Cuyahoga Community College, located in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking a Vice President to provide executive guidance and strategic direction for the Sustainability and Energy initiatives working through the College’s Workforce and Economic Development and Academic Affairs divisions. The work schedule for this position is Typically 8:30 to 5:00 p.m., but position requires flexibility based on the needs of the department.
Responsibilities Include: 
  • Serves as the liaison for the College District with various higher education, community and economic development entities that are focused on attracting and retaining green-related and alternative energy industries to Northeast Ohio
  • Works closely with the College's Workforce and Economic Development and Academic Affairs divisions to strengthen existing partnerships and relationships, as well as identify and initiate relationships that would benefit the College
  • Fosters and coordinates with existing credit, non-credit, and professional development programs new relationships and training opportunities locally, regionally and nationally
  • Convenes an Advisory Committee to review all course/program offerings and set future directions
  • Seeks cooperation and offers support college-wide to deliver a consistently high quality presence in all areas of green and sustainability offered in all workforce and academic areas of the College
  • Assists in seeking and developing grant funding
  • Develops and monitors departmental budgets
  • Identifies and recommends new green and sustainability programming
  • Creates and implements innovative partnerships and maintains high visibility in the community regarding sustainability initiatives and conversations with educational outreach programs, corporations, public sector organizations and educational partners to aggressively promote participation in sustainability programming
  • Cultivates and maintains positive working relationships and collaborations internally and with funding agencies, community and business leaders
  • Develop collaborative relationships with College's non-academic sustainability department
  • Serve on internal and external committees/taskforces and participate on state and national sustainability organizations as appropriate
  • Develops and implements marketing for all Sustainability and Alternative Energy programs and initiatives
Qualifications Include: 
  • Master's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline
  • Five years of work experience at an administrative / senior level position
  • Intimate knowledge of the sustainability community, green building, and alternative energy sectors, to include future and current employment needs, as evidenced by active participation in business accomplishments and/or association activities
  • Experience with accreditation, licensing or certifying agencies in at least one of these areas Experience in budget development and monitoring
  • Successful grant and contract writing experience
  • Data collection, analysis and reporting skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • A demonstrated success in building internal and external partnerships
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills as demonstrated by the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, executives and community leaders
  • Creative thinker, decision-maker and problem solving skills with business acumen
  • Sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population
